If God doesn’t discipline you as he does all of his children, it means that you are illegitimate and are not really his children at all. (Hebrews 12:8 NLT)
If you can sin and get by with it then there is every reason for you to be concerned about your relationship with God. The only ones God doesn’t discipline are the ones that are not His children. Next time God is “spanking” you for some waywardness in your life be sure to thank Him for being YOUR loving Father...as you are confessing your failure.
