It's interesting to note that among the things God says are important when approaching Him in worship is keeping your "promises even when it hurts." Do you remember when a man was as good as his word and integrity was more important that expediency? Those things are still important to God and they should still be important to us. If you make a promise, keep your word...even if it "hurts" to do so.
